As a psycholinguist, I aim to understand how the communicative setting influences 1) speech comprehension and 2) moral decision making. The communicative setting refers to the triangle relation between the speaker (e.g., foreign accents), the listener (e.g., being bilingual), and the environment (e.g., background noise). In my work I have mostly approached this question by looking at the interaction between linguistic and cognitive processes. I use a combination of offline and online (psycholinguistic) techniques with diverse populations.
