Last week I was in Potsdam at the WILD conference. I presented a poster on The role of grammatical gender in predictive processing in Russian. This work has been done by my reMA student Anna Aumeistere and in close collaboration with Sybrine Bultena.
Next week I will be giving a colloquium talk on “The effect of challenging listening conditions on communication and moral decision making” at the Johannes Gutenburg University in Mainz, Germany. Looking forward to it!
Honoured to have been part of the corona of Linda Drijvers‘ PhD defence. Very impressed by the way she defended her thesis entitled “On the oscillatory dynamics underlying speech-gesture integration in clear and adverse listening conditions”. Cum Laude!
Thrilled that my second, single-authored paper of this year got accepted for publication. It is about the role of foreign accent and short-term exposure on speech-in-speech recognition and will soon be published in Attention, Perception, & Psychophysics.
Happy to announce that the article in collaboration with Sharon Unsworth, Elise de Bree and Josje Verhagen entitled “Predicting bilingual preschoolers’ patterns of language development: Degree of non-native input matters” got accepted for publication in Applied Psycholinguistics. The link to the paper will soon be added.
My paper entitled “The auditory foreign-language effect of moral decision making in highly proficient bilinguals” is out now. It can be downloaded for free at: https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.1080/01434632.2019.1585863#.XHzDci59Uyo.email Happy reading!
